AMISH COUNTRY!

mom and rich abandoned me so they could run amuck in Amish Land.
i wasn't there, so some of the captions are true and others are not.
i'll let you decide which to believe in. ^_^

The buggy that beat rich in a fast paced race,
i hear some sheep were thrown into the bet.

a painting on a building, which little people
crossed the bridge every so often like clock work.

rich chasing a bunny rabbit just for the heck of it.
look at him move.

Glorious Amish Land!

mom and rich lack the skill to take a picture of the both of them together . . .

so they had to go it alone . . .

and take turns taking the other's photo.

an Amish Landerer made a grill in tribute of his
prized hog Betsy after she had passed away.

the Amish Landerer's locked mom up after she
tried to pocket a hunk of cheese. They eventually
set her free though because she kept eating up
all their homemade bread.

in case you were feeling sorry for me because my parents
abandoned me, don't.
not only did they leave a nice cozy house in my care,
but they also brought me back a nice humk of mozzarella.
HAPPY DAYS, MY PRETTIES!

HOME UPGRADES!

This spring, mom and rich have been working in the yard quite a lot,

making our house the preetiest one on the street.

here's a picture of the porch

here's the house, you can't tell in this picture,

but mom painted the front door green.

here's a close up, rich polished the

brass door knobs and the mail slot

here's rich polishing away

we cut down our tree because it was all rot inside.

mom and rich bought a new baby tree, it's

a red maple.

mr.robin (the one on the left)

is usually seen hopping around the bottom of our new tree.

we thnk he's staking a claim on it and waiting for

it to get bigger so he can actually sit in it.

in this picture,

he had to guard it from that other robin.

a close up on mom's daisies,

they're crazy, they seem to double every year.

our lilacs earlier this spring

we got the two middle bushes pulled out,

one was a rose of sharon and we're not sure

what the other one was but it blossomed little white flowers.

mom's day!

HAPPY MOMMA'S DAY!
Mom decided she didn't want to go out to a fancy restaurant
on mother's day, she wanted to get a
bucket of chicken and go to a park.
so we did. ^_^

mom and Rich eating up their chicken and
mac and cheese before the wind took it's heat away.
Rich was in need of some moist towelettes

after lunch we all played catch, here's Rich catching it all fancy like.

mom catching

here's a video of the two of them playing catch

i surprised them both by displaying my awesome form
that's the stuff legends are made of!

while we were at the park, there were two rangers(?)
they had a few stuffed (real) animals and several animal skins
laid out on tables to show people the animals sizes and so people
could feel their fur. they had skins from a bear, wolf, skunk, bunny,
weasel, otter, and a lot of others. it was cool. they said they got the
skins from animals who died of natural causes and from roadkill.
i must admit, i was kind of disappointed hearing that.

skunk and weasel?

later on we went for a walk,
doesn't really compare to those pretty pictures of Japan we get from kristin.

this is me being . . . . . . me?

a creek. cool.

Here's an update on your FAVORITE red head!

About four weeks ago on a fine saturday afternoon, i decided that it was high time to get myself another animal familiar. so i thought a fish would be fine enough, cheap and easy up-keep. So about three weeks ago, i took my trusty friend Cory to help me buy a fish.
This is Balthazar, he is a red wag platy.
I meant to only buy one fish, but Cory persuaded me to by my fish a friend.
So i bought this cute little golden twin-barred platy.
I let Cory name him, so his name is Alan (after Alan Grant on Jurassic Park ^_^).

Here they are together.

And here they are at home. ^_^
Exciting, yes?
LOTS of LOVE FROM,
jeanette ^_^
