RED PANDAS! HERE I COME!

On Thursday, the much anticipated adventure began. I and my comrades were going to set out to search for the majestically adorable red panda. So I adorned my blessed red panda socks, in hopes that they would guide me to my heart's desire.

We traveled for an hour or so and entered a land known as Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, we were greeted by some creatures known as Gibbons and took their advice as to where the majestically adorable red pandas dwell.

We encountered camels, who seemed unconcerned with our quest and offered no help.
We three walked through the cave of nocturnal dwellers and met with some Vampire Bats, but they were to consumed with gorging themselves upon their feast of blood to offer any aid.

As we trekked through the cave, we came upon a hideous and scary creature. I summoned my strength and asked it for some help. But he stood and stared at me and my comrades with his cold judgmental eye.

At last, we reached an astounding creature who stunned us all.

It stunned us with it's beauty for a moment, but we quickly gathered our wits and began the quest anew.

We came across a baby wallaby, who was cute but not quite what we sought. We wished him well in his life.

We came across two kings and asked if they might know of the red panda, alas they did not. Nor did they know of the most renowned lion known as Aslan.

As we walked on and on we encountered more queer beasts.

and met some stubborn ones who refused to guide us towards our goal.

And then, a ray of hope, we were getting closer!

We encountered a few more beasts, who had similar coloring and were adorable as well, but none could compare to . . . .

THE RED PANDA!

our perseverance was rewarded, not only did we locate the red panda, we found four of them. They were curled up in the trees. Two pairs in two different trees.

they blessed us and rewarded us by showing their adorable faces to us.

After gazing upon their majestically adorable faces for many heart-racing moments,

my comrades and I made it through a magic bamboo forest.

and i was rewarded for my hopefulness during my quest by being able to take back my VERY OWN RED PANDA! well, the closest thing i'll ever get to hugging one.

THE END

Mom, Rich and I had a good time at the Cincinnati Zoo. Can i just say that i have the BEST parents EVER! We went to the Zoo in 40 degree weather, but it wasn't too bad since we dressed appropriately. ^_^ they let me go back and visit the red panda on THREE different occasions while we were there. They also bought me that cute stuffed red panda (though i intend to pay them back once i have a bit more money to my name '~') Rich treated us to a yummy lunch and a dinner at a cute little place in Lebanon and ice cream.

There were a few animals we forgot to see (which we probably could have if we hadn't of seen the red pandas three times. heehee . . . ) I also got two flattened pennies ^_^ and we were all amused by the random animal poop facts found on the bathroom stall doors at the zoo.

And other than witnessing something completely natural (yet still disturbing) between a male and female polar bear (which just might have ruined me to polar bears for the rest of my life), the day was WONDERFUL and i don't think i would change anything about it. except maybe being able to take a real red panda home . . . or two. ^_^
I LOVE YOU ALL and HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! ^_^
p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY judah and uncle george!

I'm still laughing after reading your humorous telling of a "boring" trip to the zoo. It makes me want to take another trip...sort of. :) You tell the BEST stories! I can't wait to read your first published book!
