Aeris and the Gingerbread House

 So mommy bought a gingerbread house kit to do with Aeris. She was WAY more interested in the bowl of candy. We had to remind her that the candy went on the house, not in her mouth. She replied with, "One more."

Sugar Cookie House

 So instead of a ginger bread house (ew), i collected some buddies and made a sugar cookie house. i asked them to bring their favorite candies. 

 our house had a bit of a roof problem.

The Mask and ... The Narwhal?

Okay, for Kat's bridal shower, there's a masquerade theme. FINALLY! an excuse to make a mask! since i can't wear one that goes around the head (due to my "four-eyes" condition), i decided to make one you hold on the stick (i bet there's a more tecnical name for them, but ...) 

 So, i bought a plain mask from a craft store:

 i cut it into a more appealing shape, painted it and glued on sequins

then added feathers over all of it, i didn't want the sequins over powering the mask,

so i let them peek through the feathers. 

added some black trim

glued on some trailing ribbons, the stick, and some peacock feathers. TA-DA! 

 and thank you to the lovely tania for the donation of the findings and things,

 i used my sculpey and made myself a narwhal necklace charm. ^_^

This past Thursday I turned 24! AH! So on this past Saturday I celebrated with some friends and family! YAY!

Pie Eating for the Lord!

Our VBS kickoff was today, and Rich was a sweetheart and filled in for a lady in his Sunday School class who signed up for the Pie Eating contest. She wanted to back out of it because she didn't quite realize what she had signed up for. Anyways, so we went and cheered him on as he ate his creme pie. He came in fifth place and earned some coupons for Flyer's Pizza and Chic-fil-a.
