Ohio Renaissance Festival

This past Saturday, Two Knapps and Four Bowmans went to the Renaissance Festival.
It was slightly chill and slightly warm, as well as loads of fun. ^_^

Upon our arrival, I was harassed/picked on by one of the greeters. He introduced me to everyone upon entering the festival by shouting out my "title."

I'm so jealous of Aeris and Jeremy, I want a picture with Guido!

Nursery Pond Prints

I was recently asked to design two prints for a lady at work. She is having a baby in October and she wanted to decorate her nursery in a pond theme so she wouldn't have to pick just turtles or ducks or frogs. She looked for children themed pond scene prints to hang up in the nursery to help tie her other decor together but couldn't find anything she liked.

So after asking her what kinds of animals she wanted in the prints, I drew up some sketches which she approved of and decided to execute them using Adobe Illustrator CS4.

My Adventures in Sewing

About two Sundays ago, i decided to spend my afternoon making a stuffed Narwhal toy. Since i don't have one. This one is probably a little bigger than a beanie baby, i wanted to make it much bigger, but i couldn't because i didn't have as much white fleece as i thought i did. '~'

This past Friday, i made a simple dress by following a tutorial i came across online and with the assistance of my mother. this is only the second time using the machine to make anything and i still find it intimidating.

you can find the tutorial HERE.

have a great day!

My Birthday, 2011.

I slept in until 9:00ish in the morning, upon exiting my room i was assaulted by some blue balloons taped around the frame of my bedroom door. My mother had led the assault and wrote the message of "Happy Birthday" upon them.

i ate some cereal, dropped off something at the library and read in my room for three hours. then ate another bowl of cereal before changing and heading off to work. though not before i said farewell to my niece and sister-in-law.

i pedalled off to work, where i ate some grapes and watched seven five-year-olds play on a playground, then sat in the near darkness and drew for about an hour around sleeping figures. then dealt with 28 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders who complained, made fun of each other, and begged for candy from me for three and half hours.i was also asked to stay later from a lady at work. but responded with a flat NO, not today.

pedalled home to find no parents there, but my amazon order of three fun picture books. my mother brought home an Oreo blizzard ice cream cake and some wal-mart chicken. yum. ate dinner with my parents, sister-in-law and niece.

helped move a futon back to it's room, ate some cake, watched some t.v. and am now updating you on my birthday.

ON SATURDAY, we celebrated my birthday and aunt joyce's. i finally made my

WOOKIE COOKIE!

he's a big softy, made of sugar cookie and chocolate frosting. YUM!

i hope my birthday was good to you. ^_^

ICING AGAIN!

Mother and I had our last cake decorating classes. The last thing we did in class was decorate an 8" cake. Mommy practiced most of the flowers we had learned . . .
and I just practiced "elongated shapes" . . .

and made a dragon!

And now I'm OFFICIAL!
