Birthday and Dice

This past Sunday, we celebrated Ti's birthday at the Felger house. Since she just purchased a car, i made her some orange fuzzy dice for review mirror (thanks for the idea Kar).

I made sure they were accurate, with the numbers on the side. I looked off a real die, because after all i am the sister of Jeremy Bowman, and i wouldn't want to put him to shame. ^_^

RIVERDANCE!

For Valentine's Day, Rich bought us all tickets to go see Riverdance at the Palace Theater. So on Friday evening, we got all dressed up (sorry, no pics) and headed off to O'Charley's for dinner. We saw that it was too crowded so we went to a Sports Bar for quesadillas instead. ^_^

We arrived at the Palace Theater around 7: 30ish, Rich bought me a program (that's where the pictures are from). They let us in to get to our seats at 8:00, and my goodness, it was PACKED. i was a bit surprised, for some reason i didn't think there would be so many people.

The music was AWESOME, especially the fiddler, he was very talented. I can't imagine the calluses that guy has to have on his hands!

The singing was GORGEOUS, what lovely voices they have. ^_^

But of course, my FAVORITE part was the dancing. AHH! IT WAS SO COOL! The costumes were beautiful. And when they all danced in a line, their legs moving too fast to follow, and looking over at each other and smiling, WHAT FUN!

One of my favorite parts was the TAP OFF! they had to tap dancers accompanied by a saxophonist and then three Irish step dancers come on the stage with their fiddler. The dancers (and musicians) took turns show off their AWESOME school. The Irish dancers one the TAP OFF in my opinion. ^_^

Oh my GOODNESS, i could go on, but it's nothing compared to actually SEEING IT! What an experience!

Highlights of the evening:

1.) Going through the revolving door with Rich! That was REALLY fun!
2.) the guy who was selling DVDs, CDs, and Programs before the show and during intermission, just the way he was saying "programs", it was GREAT!
3.) The TAP OFF! ^_^ heeheehee
4.) The fiddler! AWESOME!
5.) SEEING RIVERDANCE!

p.s. it was AWESOME, go see it! ^_^

AH- BREAD!

So on Sunday, Joshua Nice-Looking gave me a bag of Amish Friendship bread. After four days of mushing the bag of strangeness, i was able to bake it today.

It's YUMILICIOUS TO THE MAX! It's cinnamony and lip-licking good.

And I'm NOT sharing it with my friends. ^_^

have a great weekend, i know i will. i've got two loaves of bread to devour . . . yum. ^_^

i torture little girls . . .

i was at work today, hanging out with the kindergartners and the first graders. i decided to sit with the girls in art area. i started to draw something and the girl beside me watched eagerly.

i was drawing a flying unicorn, and pulling out all the stops. curly hair, elegant legs, humongous eyes with curly eyelashes. this unicorn was smokin'

anyways, the little girl watching me says, "are you going to take that home?" almost squealing.

i respond in a nonchalant manner, "i don't know yet. probably."

she then says, "i'm going to have a unicorn party soon."

"oh that's cool," i say, adding extra curls to the mane.

"that's SO pretty!" she practically squeals.

"thanks" i say before asking her if she thinks it should be purple. she agrees.

"i love unisus's(?)" the girl says, watching me as i color in my picture with a crayon.

"a unisus? what's that?" i ask curiously.

"a unicorn and a pegasus. it's the first part of unicorn and the last part of pegasus."

"I made it up," she added.

"Oh, cool," i say, coloring in my unisus's mane and tail pink.

"You draw so good," she adds, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

"thank you" i say, making it's wings light blue, after asking the girl of course.

"can i have that when you're done?" she finally asks, unable to contain her excitement/desire for my picture.

"eh, i don't know," i respond as she tells me that the horn should be yellow.

i finish off my picture ("that's so pretty!") by coloring in the eye blue. and then ask what the girl's favorite color is; pink (surprise. not).

i secretly (by inconspicuously covering up a corner of the paper with my hand) write on it, in pink crayon;

For: Allison
From: Ms. Jeanette

and hand the picture of the purple "unisus" to the eager little girl who has watched me draw it (squealing and nearly jumping up and down in excitement) and say,"you can take this home." she smiles and takes it, showing it off to her friends as she takes it to rest safely in her cubby until she can take it home.

that's how i torture little girls, with uncertainties about unisus picture ownership. ^_^

i hope everyone had a fun monday! ^_^

The Cincinnati Museum Center (we went there FIRST Felgers!)

Over Christmas break, mom and Rich took me to the Cincinnati Museum Center as one of our day trips. This place use to be a train station and is crazy! i would have gone for the architecture alone. it's a huge building with three museums in it. and an awesome dome theater, i'd love to see a full length feature film on that thing. ooo.

Anyways, i don't think i have it in me to explain/type about all that we saw, so i'm going to show you a few pictures instead: enjoy!

mom being afraid of the animatronic t-rex

me with the other t-rex. why is his smile so much better then mine?

this was picture taken inside the bat cave. which was probably my favorite part. they have a cave you can walk through, with waterfalls and craziness. all it was missing was bats flying about. it was too cool to express in words here.

poor little guy in distress . . .

awesome friendly big sloth thing. i would have loved to ride one of these things.

show no mercy!
they had TONS and TONS of train tracks set up in one area. here's Thomas the tank engine, and a disturbed boxcar behind him.

mom high-fiving this white guy on the boat

i don't know, this just seemed like an appealing picture

my pretty parents

this picture was taken for the sullivans, something about the sign in the window . . .

Rich being shot by a canon . . . that was hard to clean up

there was a sad little snowman to bid us farewell on our way out.

the building behind me is the place

a video for your enjoyment, it's a feathery t-rex. ^_^
have a GREAT week!
