Oh, Summer 2010!

Oh, 2010! What a WONDERFUL summer!
You were anything but a bummer.
So many wonderful memories you hold,
so many days where you left us anything but cold.

A new arrival, a beautiful baby girl,

far more precious then any gemstone or pearl.

A magical quilt was crafted and bestowed,

taken away to a grateful sister's abode.

Memories of this epic reunion make me grin above my chin,

even when I look at the scars forming upon my shin.

There was fun and sun-burn to be had one Flea Market day,

it was a day extremely well spent, I wish we had a longer stay.

So thank you for the wonderful summer, 2010!

I thoroughly enjoyed you, but now you must end.

For on the 'morrow, I must begin my senior year,

Here's hoping and praying it doesn't kick my rear!

the end!

LOTS OF LOVE TO MY AWESOME LOVELIES! ^_^

The Epps Wedding

This past Friday Joe and Tiffany got married, I was able to go as Kari's +1. YAY!
The wedding was at the Franklin Park Conservatory, it was the perfect day for it too with the weather being so wonderful. ^_^Jesse did the ceremony and uncle tom made it official.

The center pieces were beta fish in a glass vase, which was lit from the bottom. Very cool. Little Joe spread the word that whoever wanted to take a fish home was more then welcome. There were thirteen fish altogether. I had half a mind to take this one at our table home. ^_^ Thankfully though, Sarah (Jesse's sister) took it home. I'm a notorious fish-killer.

Tommy was a groomsmen, he looked extremely dapper in his tux. ^_^

The Bride and groom. ^_^ i asked them for a picture for Jeremy's sake. ^_^

Jesse killing Ash with his cane. ^_^ just kidding.
The conservatory lit up at night. pretty, huh?
kari and i took some couple shots outside. ^_^

this is Ash, Tiffany's and Joe's son. He is so cute!^_^
All the groomsmen wore chucks, Tiffany did too. Though her's were pink. ^_^
Well, have a GREAT week! ^_^

FLEA MARKET FUN!

Last weekend, the Knapp/Bowman trio went to Tennessee to help Tiff and Brendan out at the flea market. Since they are moving, they decided it would be easier to sell off most of thier things instead of moving them.

Brendan relaxing on his new truck, which is a BEAST and puts all the other trucks to shame.

I also obtained my coat of power that weekend and await the day it is cool enough to wear. ^_^

Tiff after her first visit to the Port-a-Jon

Getting some shade

Tiff back home, nursing her sunburn. We were all touched by the sun that day.

Tiff and Brendan's empty living room and Brendan and Rich relaxing.

It was a long day, but so incredibly fun! ^_^ i wish them well!

What the Parents Brought Back .....

Since my parents were in Japan, they did some souvenir shopping. I gave them some ideas about what i would like, but they know pretty well. And since whatever they were bringing back would be from Japan, i was sure to like it.
Here's what they brought back for me:
This is the AWESOME clock they got me! It's SUPER CUTE, mom said that the bears on it are popular children's characters over there. the pendulum swings of course, and the little yellow bird in the window moves back and forth. ^_^IT'S SO CUTE!

The washcloth and the key chain in the box are characters from two different Miyazaki movies. ^_^ The little bear Batman key chain is from Jeremy.

This is a cricket made out of woven grass. A man was making them at one of the parks my parents went to, he's a neat little guy. ^_^

Mom and Dad also brought back my Christmas present from Jeremy and Kristin. It was this AWESOME colorful cat shirt. I wore it the next day to church. ^_^

here's a close up, it's like cat city! ^_^ It has cats, mushrooms, colors, and a clock! AWESOMENESS!

Jeremy and Kristin also gave me this little oddity that they found in their house. The owls are adorable, i kind of wish i knew what it said though. ^_^

So lots of fun things were given to me from Japan, it was like Chirstmas!

So THANK YOU VERY MUCH Jeremy and Kristin for the FUN stuff. ^_^

While Parents are Away, the Child will Play ...

While mother and father were away in Japan, I planned some gatherings to host.

I planned a Tea Party, I've been meaning to have one for at least a year or so, ever since I bought my first Japanese tea set. So I had Ti and Kari and two friends of mine over for a Tea Party. I made mini lemon poppy seed muffins(using a mix) and some chocolate chip scones(from scratch). I made a pot of green and one of earl grey tea. Then had a pot of hot water and indiviual bags of tea for anyone who wanted to try something new. ^_^

I had so much fun getting ready for this and sipping tea with my friends(i wish you were there Tiff), hopefully we'll do it again soon. ^_^

I also baked cookies with a friend and later on in the week made donuts with him too. ^_^

I hosted game night for the first time too and put up many post its to help inform my guests. ^_^

I also enjoyed some lovely sunrise skies. ^_^ i also enjoyed two different movie viewings with lovely Kari, one movie marathon ran us until 8 AM. ^_^ It was EPIC.

I enjoyed the house to myself, but i also missed mom and dad. ^_^

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE! I KNOW I WILL! ^_^

Jana in a pretty mask

We came back and ate some yummy grilled chicken, hamburgers, and hot dogs, all of which was prepared by Brendan. ^_^ Then we played some very silly and fun games organized by the Lyons, which were the cause of much laughter.
