CHRISTMAS 2010!

This Christmas was spent at home, with two Knapps and a Bowman. Rich went out to get the pops and me an icee. After I read the Christmas story, we began!

I turned down our fireplace, the crackling was kind of loud . . .
A present from me to Rich, directions on how to watch a DVD.

My ornament to mom this year. I like buying her the tassel ones.

My AWESOME wolf pillow from Tiff.

After opening presents, we ate breakfast. Rich had a yummy omelet and mom and I ate cinnamon rolls. Then we opened stockings, afterwards we got ready for having the Lopez family over later in the afternoon.
Helping mom prepare for the Lopez family.

The Lopez family came over, we stuffed ourselves on YUMMYNESS then opened presents, and did white elephant. And called Florida to say Hi to Grandma.
Tommy picked a white elephant for his white elephant gift!

We eventually got tired from such a day FULL of FUN and FOOD, so we decided to call it a MERRY CHRISTMAS! and hit the hay. ^_^

I hope everybody had a GREAT CHRISTMAS! ^_^

CrAZy Christmas Cookie Makin' DAY!

Today was spent at the Lopez House making Christmas cookies. We began with unwrapping the many hershey kisses. It was the oddest thing though, while i was unwrapping them, a few just seemed to find themselves in my mouth all of a sudden. Quite strange.

No, they aren't rubbing thier palms together to just look cool, there's cookie dough between those palms.

i think Judah had the right idea; curl up on the couch in a cozy snuggie and watch T.V. with the dogs.

these are corn flakes . . .

This is when all the sugar started getting to some of us . . .

side project during cookie making, we found some time between all the baking.

here's just a FEW of the cookies we made.

can you find Jesus?

deciding what cookie cutters to use. these were the cookies Judah was looking forward to making ALL DAY. He frequently asked us if we had started making them yet.

It's that time of year again. . .

I awoke this morning to see this out the window . . .

I must admit that I have mixed feelings about this.

Though it did show up at a very fitting time, the FIRST of DECEMBER!

which also makes me go AHHHHHHHH! becasue that means I have

SEVENTEEN days until school lets out for break (BRING on the STRESS)

and then TWENTY FIVE days until CHRISTMAS! (BRING on the baking and gift buying)

so enjoy these little flurries on this December 1st, so

OUT with the OLD
and IN with the NEW!

Tiff, this one is for you!

Halloween Hullabaloo!

Kari and I made plans to carve pumpkins, ones we got from her church's Harvest Party.

guts galore!
EW! guts!
Kari bought a kit for our carving date, much safer. but i opted to use kitchen knives. MWAHAHAHAHA!
kari and her pumpkin, i can't tell them apart.

us and our pumpkins! and yes, we're wearing matching Starbuck's aprons.

later we made haystacks (and ate most of them) had some yummilicious pizza and watched a movie. ^_^ i hope your Halloween celebrations were as fun as mine. ^_^ 'cause their's no way yours could have been better than mine. ^_^

LOVELY LEAVES!

One Saturday morning (somewhere in the middle of October), we three (two Knapps and a Bowman) went off to Hocking Hills to go view the lovely colors of the dying leaves.

this is me stoked to see the leaves!

Rich, our faithful guide pointing out the leaves to us.

this tree grew in the shape of a "J" on the edge of a cliff. J for Jeanette! ^_^

can those colors really exist in nature?

For lunch, we went to a cute little ma and pa place. i think it was called The Ridge Inn Restaurant.
Mom and Rich at the table, waiting for their food.

The restaurant was across the street from the Apple House, where they sell apples and apple cider. They even had cider slushies. We watched people (tons of people) coming and going. Everyone leaving with something. I saw one woman leave with FIVE gallons of cider.

So after our lunch, we went to the apple house and bought 1/2 a peck of apples (apparently 14 apples). half were granny smiths for me and half red delicious for Rich. THEY WERE SO YUMMY! I ate all mine within five days. '~'

i hope you've been enjoying your autumn!
